The title of this newsletter is probably very confusing to you, I know! I just want to share some things that made me really happy this week, just to share.
Q- WHAT MADE YOU HAPPY THIS WEEK, OMA?
A- THE FEELING OF BABY OIL ON MY SKIN!
Today (Saturday), I went out to buy my face moisturizer and they told me that it`s 4000 naira! My question is, what`s up with these skin care shops and changing the prices of everything to 4000 naira? Last time I went to buy Nivea body lotion, it was 4500 naira, but this stuff was 3500 naira the last time I bought it before the last time I bought it (haha, sorry). Anyways, it`s not like I work or anything so I don`t see why I should be spending that much every one or two months. So, my sister recommended that I buy baby oil. Instead of spending 4000 naira on face moisturizer, I got baby oil for 1500. You see the difference? And you know what`s crazy, the prices for this stuff will only go up from here. Let`s not even talk about sunscreen!
This evening, I applied the baby oil, and it feels so good on my skin! I also googled if I could use it on my face and they said it`s okay, it just depends on my skin. I pray my skin reacts well to it because I can`t be spending that much when I don`t even work.

A- MY DEPARTMENT FINALLY POSTED OUR TIMETABLE.
On Thursday, my department finally decided to post our timetable. I thought they`d forgotten for real. Posting our timetable means that I can I finally leave my house and go to school! We don`t have any lecture free day this semester though. We have two 7am classes and on some days, we only have two classses. I think it`s kinda flexible.
Tuesdays are packed though! But it`s good because I don`t have anything I`m doing with my life. My days are usually spent reading (it`s mostly fiction please, I`m not a nerd). So I lay in bed and just read. You see? Boring! But now that I can finally go to school, I can wear my clothes, spend time with friends and feel like I`m not sucking at this thing called life.

A- SHARING DUNSIN`S MUSIC WITH FRIENDS!
Today (Saturday) at choir practice, I put my friends on some good music bro! I feel like Dunsin`s music is just too good, there`s so much joy in it! Just to add, listening to Dunsin made me really happy this week.
Q- WHAT MADE YOU HAPPY THIS WEEK, OMA?
A- MY BEST FRIEND SANG TO ME; IT WAS REALLY SWEET! (you don`t need to know the full story, sorryyy).
Q- WHAT MADE YOU HAPPY THIS WEEK, OMA?
A- POETRY!
Okay so this is a new one. I came across a video of Helena Bonham Carter on YouTube.
She was talking about poetry with a man, and she read three (maybe four) poems. She has such a good reading voice, dudeee. She said you have to read the poems out loud for it to really hit. It got me interested in poems, so I did some digging on Pinterest and found this Poet- Lang Leav.
I basically downloaded four of her poems and one of her novels. Her poems are cute and short and silly and lovely and for me, relatable. I was also bookmarking the ones I`d like to revisit. They are mostly poems about love, heartbreak, stuff like that. Here me out, I`m just going through stuff I don`t want to share with ANYONE. Poetry is like a little cocoon for me. She says things I can`t put into words in the simplest yet, (I can’t find the word) way!
Q- WHAT MADE YOU HAPPY THIS WEEK, OMA?
A- HAVING THE CONSCIOUSNESS THAT I HAVE TO OPEN MY BIBLE APP FIRST THING IN THE MORNING AND SPEND 15 MINUTES WITH GOD. THAT`S A BIG DEAL FOR ME!
Sometimes, it`s so easy for me to passively acknowledge God in the morning but lately, I just wake up with the awareness that the first step in my morning routine is quiet time with God. This morning, I got to share something (that thing I don`t want to share) with Him and it felt good. So yeah, it makes me happy.
Q- WHAT MADE YOU HAPPY THIS WEEK, OMA?
A- MARY JANES!
You`re probably wondering why this is such a big deal, HEAR ME OUT! I`m a Pinterest girlie (the term is actually Pinterest whore but I`m not a whore IJN), and I save a lot of the cute stuff I like on there. One of those cute stuff are MARY JANES. I just love them, especially with the socks on! So, I got back from church and my mom told me that my aunty gave her “one shoe like that to me.” Yes, she gave me a pair of MARY JANES! They fit perfectly but tightly, and they are a size 37(big). Yes, I have tiny feet but that`s the only reason I got these shoes! It`s the highlight of my week.
This is what the girlies call “manifestation.” I just think my heavenly Father is aware of the things I don`t even ask for and He can give them to me!
Settling for this as this week`s newsletter also makes me feel really happy. I had a sad week, I did. My body was acting up, my brain is acting up, my heart is acting up. I`m glad that I am able to be happy, it feels good. Around 2am this morning (Saturday), I wrote something. The first line is, “I write to see. I write to feel.” I think it perfectly explains my experience as I write to you. I hope you see and feel happiness as you read.
What made you happy this week?
I totally relate to this. I bet this week is the happiest week of my life.😅 But what actually made me happy? I guess coming to the consciousness that God actually cares for me and he shows this care in the most subtle ways(or maybe I'm the one that doesn't see it). Also, listening to Dunsin's Album especially when I listened to Worthy of my Praise with my roommate. Yeahhh
What made me happy? Made new songs, saw a couple of really beautiful movies, animes, kdrama, listened to magical music, took a break from work, went out even though it was for official reasons, I still went out and explored a little.
